Register a Domain Name with AWS Route 53

Introduction
Just like GoDaddy, Hostinger, Namecheap, etc. you can also purchase and manage domain names from AWS using a service called AWS Route 53. I will take you through the purchasing process then later on create records necessary for connecting a domain to an IP address and defining how subdomains behave.
Prerequisites

Step by Step Guide
Step 1
Log in to the AWS Management Console. In the search bar at the top, type "Route 53".
Click on Route 53 from the search results to open its dashboard.
Step 2
In Route 53's navigate to the left and select Registered domains under the Doman Registration section.
Click Register domains to begin the process
Step 3
Search for your preferred domain in the Search for domain section.
From my example, I searched for cloudmango.com but unfortunately it was not available.
The system will check for available domains with your preferred top-level domain. Alternative domain suggestions based on what you searched will be displayed including TLDs such as .com, .net,.click
Step 4
Once you have selected a domain that is available for use in the search result section, you will see a proceed to checkout pop up on the right side.
You can select up to 5 domains in a single transaction
Click on it and pay for your domain.
Configure Registration Details Registration period: Adjust the duration (minimum periods vary by TLD)
Auto-renew: Enable or disable automatic renewal
Privacy protection: Configure WHOIS privacy settings
Provide Contact Information Enter registrant, administrative, and technical contact details
All contacts can be the same person (typical for personal domains)
Information must be accurate for domain verification
Review and Agree Review all costs, including any taxes
Accept the domain registration agreement
Complete your purchase
Step 5
The registration process will complete within 10-25 minutes while some TLDs might take longer to register.
The domain will appear in your Registered domains section once active.
Step 6
Route 53 will automatically create a hosted zone for your new domain and a default name server and SOA records.

DNS Management
After registration, you can:
Add records (A, CNAME, MX, etc.) in your hosted zone
Point the domain to AWS services (CloudFront, EC2, S3)
Set up email routing if needed
